What is DDOG

We want to create a community for content related to DevOps and GitHub. We believe GitHub has a lot to offer and deserves a user group in the Netherlands. But we also love the different elements that enable DevOps. So we decided to combine those two into the community you are looking at.
Our goal is to have a platform where we can teach, learn and meet each other.

October 1st

We are proud to announce our these great speakers!

DevOps: Return of Security

Mustafa Toroman

In DevOps processes, security is often forgotten or neglected and increasingly more companies are recognizing this problem. But this doesn’t have to be a problem as long as you start implementing security in DevOps on time. Lot of features that DevOps processes use, like Infrastructure as a Code or Configuration as a Code, can be used to secure your security. Using and rotating secrets can help and if you really want to increase security you can add JEA and JIT for secure deployments. Join us in this feature-packed session where you will discover DevOps security nuggets, see real world examples and learn to become DevOps security expert!

Mustafa Toroman - Solution Architect, Azure MVP
Mustafa Toroman is a solution architect with Authority Partners. With years of experience of designing and monitoring infrastructure solutions, lately, he focuses on designing new solutions in the cloud and migrating existing solutions to the cloud. He is very interested in DevOps processes, and he’s also an Infrastructure-as-Code enthusiast. Mustafa has over 50 Microsoft certifications and has been an MCT for the last 8 years. He often speaks at international conferences about cloud technologies, and he has been awarded MVP for Microsoft Azure since 2016. Mustafa also authored ‘Hands-On Cloud Administration in Azure’ and ‘Azure Networking Cookbook’, and co-authored ‘Learn Node.js with Azure’, all published by Packt.

Help, the machines are coming! How to make DevOps happen when you’re using AI

Willem Meints

You’re getting an email in the morning from a new colleague. It reads: “Hey, can you deploy this model for me?” You freak out, what is that? A model, where did it come from? And why do I get it in the mail. I thought we were doing CI/CD?!

Join us in this epic tale of the data scientist and the CI/CD pipeline. Learn how you can tame the AI beasts and bring them to production safe and fast.

In this session we’ll cover the following topics:

  • Fantastic AI beasts and where to find them: What a typical machine learning development process looks like
  • How to train your AI beast: using Azure Machine Learning Service with Azure DevOps
  • The data scientist and the philosopher’s stone: How to prevent Foldermort models from entering your production environment.
  • Voyage of the AI model: How to deploy machine learning models in the cloud from Azure DevOps.

Willem Meints - Technoloy Advocate/Microsoft AI MVP
Willem Meints is an AI/machine learning expert for Info Support and Microsoft AI MVP. He has worked for years on several machine learning algorithms and recently wrote a book about deep learning using CNTK.

Introducing the GitHub CLI, the interactive command line tool for people who love GUIs

Chrissy LeMaire

GitHub recently debuted GitHub CLI 1.0, a beautiful tool that’s reminiscent of command-line games of the 80’s. Join me as I highlight how it differs from git and GitHub Desktop. I’ll demonstrate how I use it to manage my own repos and just how easy it is to interact with pull requests, issues, branches, releases and more.

Chrissy LeMaire - Dual Microsoft MVP, Data Migration Pro
Chrissy is a Cloud and Datacenter Management & Data Platform MVP who has worked in IT for over 20 years. She is the creator of the popular SQL PowerShell module dbatools and holds a master’s degree in Systems Engineering. Chrissy is also certified in SQL Server, Linux, SharePoint and network security.
